Born in Seoul, Korea, Leah Getz was raised in the quaint town of Havre de Grace, Maryland, by a Jewish-American family who fostered a love of artistic expression. Surrounded early by the splendor of music and creative development, she soon found her path through storytelling. With a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from Fordham University, Leah embarked on a journey to dissect the meaning of performance and transcend the boundaries of the stage and screen, weaving a tapestry of human experience. As an adoptee, she embraces her diverse identity, finding strength and community in the fusion of her cultural heritage. She is driven by a desire to provide a platform for all human experiences. Leah believes that it is her duty and the responsibility of all artists to use storytelling as a means to bridge divides and cultivate shared empathy and knowledge. Through her work, she strives to amplify voices and stories to foster a sense of unity and understanding in an interconnected world. When she’s not performing you can find her indulging in her passion for jazz music, brewing new concoctions in her kitchen, and gazing at the moon.
